Hoodies Banned in Middle School
Wednesday, October 18, 4:23 p.m.
By Jon Meyer

Some middle school students in Columbia County now have to select their wardrobe very carefully before they head to class. Hooded sweatshirts, or hoodies, are no longer allowed.

Hoodies are a staple of most young people's wardrobes but at Berwick Middle School they are now off limits.

"Now that it's getting colder I wish we could wear them now but rules are rules and I follow them so I don't wear sweatshirts anymore," said eighth grade student Ashley Stewart.

The rules come for a reason. There were enacted for the safety and welfare of all the students. School leaders said in the halls hoodies made kids targets.

"We found here at the middle school that we had problems with student safety issues where kids were grabbing the back of the hoods up and down the hallways," said guidance counselor Chris Blockus.

Once kids got to class, the hoods and big pockets became spots for students to hide stuff.

"Kids were using their MP3 players, iPods. They would put them in their pockets and string them right up. They would have them on during movies, the classes and so on," said assistant principal Brian Gasper.

Some students said kids were even manipulating the hooded sweatshirts, cutting holes to better hide things. It was just one more reason why hoodies have to be checked at the door.

"I don't think it's right for the good kids not to wear the hooded sweatshirts. They don't cut holes in their hoodies and bring the headphones up," Stewart added.

If students show up wearing a hoodie or feel cold in school the assistant principal has some other clothing options in his office.

"I'm going to say 98 to 99 percent of the students understand the rules and understand why we're enacting it. And we've had a very good compliance with it," Gasper added.

Hooded sweatshirts are only off limits right now in the Berwick Middle School.

WHAT THE FUCK.

Here it is, copied exactly as it appears on the page.

D.M.D.
Detective Mikie Danger

By: Alex Bunke

It was a Wednesday, a regular Wednesday. The kind of Wednesday that comes before Thursday and after Tuesday. The day was going kind of slow, no customers were coming in with problems. My name is Mikie Danger, D.M.D. as I like to call myself. Suddenly, the door swung open and a beautiful lady stepped in. "Are you Mikie Danger?" She asked. "Why yes my little Sugarpop," I said as sweetly as I could. The lady gave me a dirty look. "Don't try anything stupid! You hear?!" This one looks like she'll be tough to get. "What's the trouble?" I asked in a man's voice. "Somebody has killed my mother. I was hoping that you could find out who the nasty killer is." I thought for a moment, this might be a tough case. "I'll see what I can do." "Good." She said as she walked out the door. "By the way, my name is Mary Toggledip." She was out the door in a flash.
*     *     *
I was in a bush in the expensive restaurant called, "The Fancy One." I was going under cover to see if I could find any suspects. Then I saw Mary! She was going towards a table where a bunch of men sat. Luckily, I was positioned right by that table. It would be very easy to hear what they were saying. "Did you hide the body?" One of the men asked in a low voice. "Yes," Mary was saying, "I also went to this stupid detective Mikie. He'll be looking for the killer for weeks." hey all gave a loud laugh. "Stop! Your under arrest for murder!" I shouted as loud as I could. The men all got up and started coming at me. (I know self defense well.) I kicked one of the six men coming at me. He was sent flying through a glass window. "One down five to go." Another one jumped at me, but I ducked and he flew into a table knocking him unconscious. "Bring it on boys!" I shouted. Soon I had them all in handcuffs. I had to chase Mary, but I caught them all. The police were hauling them away when I asked Mary, "Would you rather be put in jail or come with me to Florida?" "Jail," she said. So that's how it ended. Well, I'd better get back to work.
*     *     *
When I got back to the office I sat down to take a load of. Then the door swung open and a beautiful lady walked in...

THE END

Okay.

So I had a revelation last night during dinner. It just hit me out of the blue. Here. Check it. We spend tons of money of food. Fast food, fancy food, slow food, healthy food, chocolate, hot food, cold food, FOOD. Lots of money, lots of food.

Here's the thing.

We put all the food in our mouths. And swallow it.

Think about that.

It goes INSIDE our bellies.

Wow.

Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition.
[carves V into wall] The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous.
[giggles] Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.
